Invitation to the 35th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, June 7-10, 2027, Pula, Croatia
The 35th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, MED ’27, will take place in the city of Pula, Croatia. The conference will be held across two venues: Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, which will host most sessions, and the Croatian Veteran Community Center, a 15-minute walk away, where the keynote talks will take place.
Pula is a major cultural centre located at the southern tip of the Istrian Peninsula, boasting a vibrant blend of Croatian and Italian cultural and linguistic influences. It is renowned for its exceptionally well-preserved Roman architecture, most notably the Pula Arena, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. The city also offers miles of indented coastline, beautiful beaches, and easy access to Brijuni National Park and the Cape Kamenjak Nature Park.
Juraj Dobrila University of Pula is one of Croatia’s younger public universities, founded in 2006. It offers a variety of university programmes and research opportunities in fields such as economics, tourism, humanities, education, engineering and natural sciences.
MED’27 spans four days, from June 7-10. The first day, Monday June 7, will be dedicated to Tutorials and Workshops, while the subsequent three days, June 8-10, will feature the technical conference, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration among control and automation scientists and industry professionals.
The conference will focus on advances in control for autonomous systems and robotics, highlighting the development and deployment of intelligent, reliable, and adaptive control solutions that address practical challenges in industrial automation, emerging technological applications, and real-world settings. Croatia has a long-standing tradition of research and innovation in these areas and beyond, supported by a strong academic community and complemented by a growing industrial sector.
Building on Croatia’s previous hosting of MED conferences in Dubrovnik (2001) and Zadar (2018), MED’27 continues this tradition and aims to strengthen international collaboration and networks in control and automation.
We look forward to seeing you in Pula!
